This restaurant is everything! Highly recommend if making a trip out to New York City! I’m a very vanilla person with food. The owner was amazing! He recommended foods to try and he did not disappoint! I will definitely be taking another trip there the next time I’m in New York!
Man on the street was advertising 10% off for attendees on the New York Comic Con and 20% off for those in costume. After looking at the menu, we decided to have a bite. I ordered the Chicken Kebab as a platter with fries and brown rice. My wife ordered the Lamb and Beef Gyro. She also ordered a Shirazy Salad on the side. Food was prepared fresh before our eyes. It was great watching the older woman scold the younger man on the proper way to prepare food. We had our food quickly. Very flavorful. I would highly recommend this location!
Lasani Grill on 9th Avenue, New York, is a fantastic choice for halal food in a Muslim-friendly setting. Located conveniently near to Port Authority NY and walking distance to Times Square, it offers a diverse menu with delicious options. The warm ambiance and accommodating staff make it a top recommendation for those in the area.
La’Sani is a treasure, what an excellent surprise! Family owned business, super authentic, and delicious! Prices are really reasonable, its cute as heck, and smells amazing. Komal is an absolute sweetheart, best service I’ve had in the whole dang city.
I had ordered for a falafel sandwich. The pita bread and the falafel were freshly made and it was very filling and tasted good. Though it was a bit pricey at $15 for a sandwich, I thought it was worth it. I felt like ordering a second sandwich just for the taste of it.
Komal invited us warmly and made our experience amazing! The food is OHMYGOD good. The lamb was delicious! Everything was delicious! Ahh! Definitely a highlight of our food experience as we visited NYC. A must visit. The tunes as we dined were also nice. 💃
Hello New Yorkers,
I love Mediterranean foods, period. The type of style offers a good food source mixed between protein, pita bread, veggie and awesome white yogurt source. Coming to New York, I am definitely look for one, at least that’s how I find Halal’s guys before, and they are too darn good that I had to hand carry 6 boxes back to California, and boarding custom even questions my motivation.
After a long standing at the show booth, I was looking for a quick and healthy gyro wrap and have not found any luck near by Javits. I decide to walk around 1 miles and found La-Sani Grill. The photo shows a plate style that I like, so I decide to give it a try. I order a combination wrap with beef and chicken with side of salad and falafel to satisfy the journal of full Mediterranean foods. once I received my food, I realized their put lamb and chicken instead of beef, I was thinking if the owner wants me to try their lamb signature. The Falafel is so dry that I had to order extra white sauce to go with it, and I had to finish 3 of them. A side cucumber salad is very small for the price.
It does not have to be about the foods, but there is very small air condition while New York is running 100 degree this week. The dinning area is full of the greasy smell, and my co-worker know exactly where I go for lunch.
Needless to say, the foods and dinning experience are not meeting my expectation, and I can’t sit for too long when restaurant is hotter than outside. The bad experience does not stop me continue exploring another Mediterranean foods in New York, I will see you next time.
By the way - did I mention I found a meat wrapping paper inside of my falafel?
